Sadly, we hear it time and time again that a customer paid $4000, $8000, and all they have is a softener and maybe a small pre-filter. Basically, they were ripped off. 

To truly support a home and all the water consumed requires a lot more than just basic filters and RO membrane. Pumps and Tanks need to be part of a system as tap water pressure coming in from normal lines does not have enough pressure to push the water through what ends up being around 6~7 filtration stages. Then a RO, even this one, does not have the output capacity to directly supply a homes needs. This requires a tank to store and have ready for demand. This tank then requires a supply pump to deliver water throughout your home.
